Club House at Cave Country RV "Let's Party"

Our Club House has undergone improvements over the summer of 2010. We have clubs throughout the end of November and then it is rented for Christmas parties. Dates are still available for Christmas & New Year 2010. Whether you are considering a club event or looking for accomadations for a party contact us soon while dates are available.

Take Time to Smell the Roses

No roses in this picture..... But I hope you get the message. Our Park is the the largest. We don't have a swimming pool. And our shade trees are still growing BUT we have thousands of bushes, grasses, trees and flowers. I've lost count but there is around 125 flower beds through out the 10 acres. I have ideas for additional area as time goes on. While hours each week are spent on pulling weeds and such, I try to make sure that I take time to relax and smell the roses. I have to discipline myself to see flowers and see past the weed... LOL.

This summer we have a "Tomato Patch" for our guests. I planted cherry tomato, red and a yellow variety. These are for you and are on a first come first serve basis. I thought it would be nice if you have a fresh garden tomato for your dinner while here !! Plants are located behind the propane filling station. Enjoy !!!

Independence Day 2010

Independence Day 2010 in the Cave area. There will be a celebration at Mammoth Cave National Park on the 4th. You can visit their website for details Or call the park at (270) 773-5099 or (502) 964-0142. For additional information.

Please note that Fireworks will not be held within the National Park.

Fireworks will be sponsored by Cave City and local businesses and will be on the evening of July 3rd. There will be a concert starting at 4PM and fireworks at dark. This celebration will be held next to the Jellystone Park just west of I65 from exit 53.

To all. Let us not cease to be thankful for the freedom that our forefathers fought so hard for. Freedom is never free. Let us celebrate and also commit to preserving the freedoms that we enjoy for generations to come.

Over the winter a wall came out and I expanded the lounge to include the exercise equipment and the pool table. Heated and air conditioned year round ! The old Game room down at the Club House has the ping pong table and some other kid stuff.

Welcome to Cave Country RV Campground !!!

Seems like it has been a long winter ... Even here in Kentucky. I'm glad to report the temperature is warming up and we are ready for a busy Summer... We are getting some new things in the area. A New Large Pizza Hut. We have a new "Fun Zone" just around the corner from the RV Park. I'll post some pics... I need to update the website a little and am looking for help with that so prices and a few things are outdated. (No plan to raise prices for 2010 at this point). Looking forward to seeing you all this season !!!

Tribute to Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson Tribute
Beech Bend Park was very excited when the Sea Dragon was purchased from Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch in Santa Barbara, California. While Michaels' life was controversial at times, his contribution to the music world is legendary. With Michael's sudden passing, we have been overwhelmed with calls and visits from fans wanting to ride the Sea Dragon. A memorial has been formed at the base of the Sea Dragon and those wishing to bring flowers, photos, cards and other mementos are welcome to do so. Beech Bend Park will open its doors with free admission to fans of Michael Jackson on Sunday night, June 28th from 5 to 7 p.m. with complimentary rides on the Sea Dragon as a tribute to the "King of Pop"
The Sea Dragon ride was originally puchased by Michael Jackson and installed in his Neverland Ranch in Santa Barbara, California in the mid 90's. It was said to be Michael's favorite ride. Beech Bend Park purchased the ride in November 2008 and moved it from Neverland Ranch to its new home in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The photo above is a picture of Michael having fun riding the Sea Dragon and the photo to the left shows the Sea Dragon while at Neverland Ranch. The ride is currently operating at Beech Bend Park and is a crowd favorite.

Visitors welcome free tours at Mammoth Cave(MAMMOTH CAVE NATIONAL PARK – June 24, 2009) On June 20-21, Mammoth CaveNP offered the Discovery and Mammoth Passage cave tours free of charge.The offer will be repeated July 18-19, and August 15-16, 2009 as a gestureby the National Park Service to help families enjoy the outdoors.“We consider the weekend a great success,” said Superintendent PatrickReed. “The purpose was to give families a break in these tough economictimes. Some came out specifically because of the free tours, others whowere already here added a free tour to their visit. Both Saturday andSunday showed significant increases over the number of people who visitedon the same weekend last year.”On Saturday and Sunday (June 20-21), 7,151 people toured Mammoth Cave,compared to 5,157 people on the same weekend in 2008, a 28 percentincrease. The park ran the self-guided Discovery tour through the busiestpart of the day, and then added extra Mammoth Passage tours to ensure allvisitors would have an opportunity to go on one of the free tours.“One woman told us the tours added to a cheap summer get-a-way she plannedfor her grandchildren,” said Mike Adams, Mammoth Cave’s chief ofinterpretation. “She said they came to this area to use discounted ticketsat one attraction, then came to Mammoth Cave for the free tours. May 11th 2009. The water level is highest I've seen it on the Green River. I tell eveyone about the Ferry and that they need to go accross while visiting the Park. Pictures tell a 1000 words...

The New Visitor Center at Mammoth Cave National Park is still underconstruct. It is nice! It is Mammoth too. Hopefully we can expect completion later this year.

The answer is you can not bring plants, logs or firewood from any other state into the state of Kentucky. the reason is the "EBA, Emerald Ashe Borer". On any given day we can turn on the TV and get quite depressed if we aren't careful. The economy is scarey to say the least. The world is for the most part at war. Things really are a mess. However we need to stop and remember that God is in control. He will not be caught by surprize by any of the today's news. And we live in the greatest country on the planet. I have friends from all over the world and I don't mean to slight them, there are other countries that are great as well. Maybe I'm a little partial.... Maybe I just love my Country that much...
